TechServ is looking for entry level and experienced field technicians to hire and grow with the company. We’re looking for individuals who enjoy traveling, working outdoors, and are in search of a career with a company they can grow with. This position will include collecting attachment heights and identifying ownership of communication attachments on distribution power poles using a smart device. Details are as follows:

Schedule

8 Days on / 6 days off

10-12 hr work days

Per Diem

TechServ will provide and arrange lodging

TechServ will provide company vehicle with fuel card

Pay is $18 to $22 /hr

Meal Per Diem $40/day

Responsibilities

Will ensure work is completed safely and to design specifications.

Responsible for taking quality and accurate photos of utility poles.

Responsible for utilizing insulated, telescoping, fiberglass measuring stick to record the attachment height of any hardware/conductors installed on electric poles. (Contact to energized components will be made through the use of the insulated stick)

Responsible for identifying and correctly recording all different attachments (telecom and utility) on electric distribution poles.

Responsible for recording span lengths and angle bearings between two structures.

Responsible for identifying all appropriate equipment

Responsible for reading maps and identifying any possible discrepancies between the field and design specs.

Responsible for working independently in the field and maintain streamlined communication with the office personnel.

Tech II responsible for emailing digital photos of the field data to the design team in office.

Responsible for navigating, independently, to new locations provided by design team.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED

Computer literate: can efficiently utilize Microsoft Word, and Excel to update reports and email to communicate with the rest of the team.

Proficient in the use of a compass, range finders and the recording of geographical features.

Willing to travel 100%+ of the time.

Willing to work long hours and potential weekend.

Must be able to perform physical labor in elements for extended periods of time.

Must pass a drug screen test.

Must be able to pass a background check and a driving record check.

Must have valid drivers license.

First Aid/CPR Trained a plus but not required.

Must be able to work outside in all elements.
