Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Remediation Project Manager for the Houston, TX area.

This full-time position within our Environmental group will lead a team on a variety of oil and gas investigation/remediation projects with oversight from senior managers and technical experts. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate TX and LA investigation/remediation project experience and require a strong focus on health and safety, be detailed orientated, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits

Managing scope, schedule, and budget for site investigation/remediation projects

Building strong client relationships

Client and regulatory correspondence

Technical report writing and review

Analyzing and applying solutions to atypical and/or semi-complex and challenging issues within area of expertise

Preparing cost estimates and proposals

Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders

Coordinating work schedules with AECOM staff and subcontractors

Responsible for quality control of tasks

Mentor junior and mid-level project staff

Will require some regional travel for field visits

This position requires both office and field work; the successful candidate should expect up to 20% commitment overseeing fieldwork and mentoring junior staff. Remote work is an option if applicable to project responsibilities.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s in Engineering, Geology, or closely related field

2 years of Project Management experience and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

PG or PE license

Valid driver's license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

10 years of experience in environmental consulting

4 years of project management experience

MS in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related field

Experience working for clients in the oil and gas midstream market sector

Experience working with LA environmental regulatory agencies

40-Hour HAZWOPER Training

Additional Information

Compensation

Exempt Position: The offered rate of compensation for Houston, TX will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience. The salary range for this position is $90,000 – $125,000.
