Job Responsibilities

With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.

In this position, you will provide counseling and intensive case management to patients with serious persistent mental illness and concurring drug and/or alcohol diagnosis, while utilizing the integrated dual disorders treatment model.

Job responsibilities include but no limited to the following:

Provides intensive case management, along with integrated dual disorders treatment to patients who have serious persistent mental illness concurring with drug and/or alcohol diagnosis in the Anderson area. This may occur in the clinic or community environment.

Documents in charts in an effective, efficient, and timely manner. Follows policies and procedures regarding Corporate Compliance and Cultural Competence.

Ensures coordination of mental health services to patients within the agency, as well as in the community.

Provides at least one group per month to patients in the Anderson catchment area.

Participates in weekly staffings with supervisor and co-workers.

Performs all other duties as required.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Minimum Requirement:

A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.

Center Preferred:

A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field and one year postmaster degree experience. Work experience with the alcohol and drug population.

NOTE: If any Agency Requirements are listed above, applicants must also meet those requirements to be considered for the position.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
