• Setâ up and run Prototrak CNC Vertical Milling Machine production jobs on Track 4
• Create, open and save programs on the Prototrak CNC Vertical Milling Machine
• Assist in designing milling and tooling fixtures
• Assist in improving efficiency with appropriate spindle speeds and feeds
• Adhere to the approved preventative maintenance program
• Troubleshoot to determine and correct problems/issues
• Run tooling, inspection gauges and special projects, as assigned on the milling machine
• Keep tooling cabinet organized and current
• Train others in the department (on all shifts) to run the Milling machine
• Within a mill cell operate secondary operations while the mill is running.
• Recommend items related to evaluation, continuous improvement and departmental improvements for work flow, procedures, etc.
• Work on other Track 4 equipment, forklift, as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills
1-2+ years work and/or current educational experience on manual or CNC milling machine
Basic knowledge of machining (including set-up)
Blue print reading skills
Experience with and ability to read precision instruments
High caliber of quality control; strong observation and quality inspection skills
Entry-level computer skills
Excellent communication skills; strong grammatical use of the English language
High level of self-initiative and dependability
Must be flexible to perform overtime duties or adjust schedule when required
Must be flexible and willing to pitch in as needed
Resourceful and highly organized with an attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage, prioritize and balance multiple tasks
Ability to work within a team environment
Must possess positive, "can do" attitude.
