VACANCY: Project Manager (substations)

AREA: Pretoria; Gauteng

DURATION: 6 months with possible extension

PACKAGE: R100 000 CTC monthly

Project Purpose:

Extension and refurbishment of 132/33kV Indoor Substation with GIS & AIS Switchgear.

Qualifications and work experience:

National Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering – heavy current from a university or University of Technology or;

Diploma / B.Sc Degree in Building and Construction Management

Registered as Professional Engineer Technician or higher

Registered as a Professional Construction Project Manager (Pr.CPM) at SACPCMP

Competency in NEC / FIDIC / JBCC contracts

National Diploma in Project Management

7 years’ experience in project management, construction, engineering and/or consulting industry relevant to electrical / construction infrastructure sector. The 7 years can be combined between the three disciplines listed above with two years in a management position

Skills and competencies:

Fully computer literate

Good understanding of the various fields of electrical infrastructure

Good understanding of the logistical requirements in the construction industry and a construction site.

Good understanding of the skills and resource requirements in the electrical construction industry

Good understanding of the statutory and legal requirements of the electrical industry.

Good understanding of the market we compete in as well as what impacts and influences our market
