Essential Responsibilities:
Provide technical support on MEP systems, coordinate with other disciplines internally as well as externally with consultants and engineering
Complete reviews of HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical System design for new construction on Commercial, low and high-rise residential buildings
Provide and manage design optimization for Clients
Assists with MEP procurement process
Prepare and coordinates MEP tender bids and analysis, levels scope of work
Prepare and coordinate equipment shop drawing submittal logs and prioritizes long lead equipment delivery items
Manages clash detection with MEP and other disciplines
Manages change requests from the client due to revised design or scope
Reviews and confirms MEP installation is in accordance with plans, specifications, shop drawings, applicable building codes and that quality standards are maintained
Reviews and coordinates MEP construction schedule to meet milestones and completion dates
Identifies and manages opportunities and risks to achieve the best possible impact on schedule
Creates and facilitates the project commissioning program, leads commissioning meetings with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrates leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection on the project. Applies the requirements of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to promote overall compliance with Ledcor HS&E standards, applicable OH&S Acts, regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project
Qualifications
5+ years of related work experience as a Project Manager or in a similar direct managerial/supervisory role
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, Outlook, Word, Excel & MS project
Professional experience on large MEP projects with scope packages ranging from $5 to $20 million
Completed post-secondary education in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or trade experience
Comprehensive knowledge of all MEP building systems including controls and operations
Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
Self-motivating and ability to multi-task while maintaining a strong attention to detail
Good time management skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must have a valid provincial driver’s license
