Ascent Resources is seeking an experienced Gas Marketing Analyst. This position is located in Oklahoma City, OK and will report to the Director - Marketing.
This role is responsible for supporting Gas Marketing and Midstream department’s daily operations by creating, maintaining, and providing quality control for various inputs and assumptions for multiple internal models and software tools. Fulfill ad hoc requests (data, reports, analysis) from management and/or other departments on short notice with established deadlines. Provides various monthly and quarterly deliverables for various departments.
The analytics work performed and reported on will impact short and long-term decisions made throughout the organization. Management and department heads decision making is heavily predicated on the analytics performed. There is no direct managerial role, but the candidate will be responsible for working closely with more senior members of the organization and collaborating with the several different departments requiring the ability to effectively communicate the key elements of Gas Marketing and Midstream as well as the ability to understand its impact on other disciplines within the organization.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and/or maintain multiple spreadsheets and software tools used in the support of ongoing Gas Marketing and Midstream department needs by incorporating advanced analytical methods and modeling techniques into output deliverables
Initiate process improvement recommendations while contributing to standardization, repeatability, and automation of processes to ensure on-going timely delivery of high-quality results
Run, develop, evaluate and communicate the inputs, assumptions and results of models for short-term market trends in Natural Gas, Oil, and NGLs
Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate midstream capacity, well connect schedules, or other key commercial data
Support internal groups on daily efforts and align goals and outputs based on their feedback and guidance

Valid state Driver’s License
Education & Work Experience Required
Bachelor s Degree in business related field, mathematics or energy management preferred or minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Two (2) or more years of experience in Gas Marketing and Midstream or related experience in oil and gas industry
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Word, SQL, Snowflake, Data Manipulation, and Python
Prefer experience with oil and gas reserves and Enersight software
