General Manager - Mines

Responsible for providing strategic, operational leadership and management to meet the short-, medium- and long-term goals of the project/operation.

Duties & Responsibilities

Establish and operate a mining project.

Explore locations suitable for stone mining

Direct the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to mining standards.

Project execution using knowledge of mining and mine planning software

Manage and oversee daily business operations consistent with company policies and practices.

Maintain an active awareness of cost management across the operations and assist in implementing mitigation strategies where necessary.

Achieve the long-term sustainability of the business by actively seeking, investigating and assessing growth opportunities that complement and add value to the operations with profitability.

Understand the market dynamics and leveraging company assets and resources to maximize ROI.

Maintain regular operational mining compliances.

Requirements

A formal Bachelor Degree in mining or similar field is required from a reputed institution.

Suitable Applicants with 20 years’ experience in the mining sector working with various mining methods.

Knowledge of mining laws, plant set-up, mine planning and analysis, financial management and mining operations.
