Automotive Technician at Town Nissan located in East Wenatchee, Washington

Town Nissan is seeking a full time experienced and skilled Automotive Technician to join our reputable dealership. The primary objective of Automotive Technician is to ensure that all vehicle maintenance and repair work are carried out efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with established dealership standards.

Duties and Responsibilities of Automotive Technician:

Perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks on customer vehicles, including brake repairs, engine tune-ups, wheel alignments, and oil changes.

Inspect and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on a variety of vehicle makes and models.

Use specialized tools and equipment to carry out complex repair and maintenance tasks, such as battery testing, fuel injection repair, and engine diagnostics.

Maintain detailed and accurate service records on all vehicle repairs and maintenance performed.

Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding repair and maintenance work required.

Ensure that all repair and maintenance tasks are completed within established time frames and budgetary constraints.

Regularly complete on-the-job training to stay up-to-date on new automotive technologies and repair techniques.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferred.

Experienced Automotive Technician with a minimum of 2 years of shop experience.

Strong diagnostic skills and understanding of vehicle electronics and computerized systems.

Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and multiple demands.

Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment, such as multi-meters, scanners, and oscilloscopes.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve dealership goals.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with customers in a professional manner.

Valid Washington State Driver’s License or equivalent. All licenses must be converted to a Washington State License within 30 days of employment.

Clean driving record to meet insurability standards

Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen

Work Environment:

As part of the essential duties, this position requires operating motor vehicles and working with hazardous, fatal materials. The employee’s essential duties are such that impairment caused by drug or alcohol could result in significant injury or death.
