Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

GPAC has partnered with a wonderful firm looking to hire an Associate Attorney to aid in their Commercial Litigation practice.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation activities

- Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs

- Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation and discovery management

- Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and depositions

- Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to develop case strategies and provide legal counsel

Essential Job Functions:

- Possess strong knowledge of commercial litigation procedures and legal concepts

- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Demonstrate analytical and critical thinking abilities for effective problem-solving

- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work

- Display strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple cases and deadlines

Skills:

- JD degree from an accredited top 50 law school

- Active member of the Virginia bar with license in good standing

- 0-3 years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial litigation

- Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound legal advice

- Proficient in legal research software and case management systems
