Job Description

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000

Lehman Daman Construction Services, Inc. began in 1946 and now employs over 50 people and is part of the Rudolph Libbe Group. Lehman Daman is comprised of two main divisions, large projects, and service. The large projects group handles what many would typically think of as commercial construction projects. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Junior Commercial Construction Estimator will be responsible for working in a team environment, assisting with estimating projects of various sizes and types within in the industrial, commercial and health care industries. Project sizes range from thousands of dollars for the Service Department to project ranges up to $15MM.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares and coordinates take-offs with supervision.

Communicate with sub trades and suppliers to ensure understanding of scope of work.

Prepare sub-trade vendor packets.

Assist with the development of an estimate.

Create pricing schedules.

Develop bid proposals.

Work with Account Managers and Estimation team.

SKILLS:

Ability to adapt well to new software.

Blueprint reading and understanding.

Basic understanding of standard method of measurement.

Basic trade/product knowledge.

Customer service skills.

Basic understanding of construction methodology, including development, contracting, and consulting.

Attention to detail and good communication skills.

Ability to work within a team.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in a construction related degree.

1-3 years of construction estimating experience.
