Product Owner

Overview:

We are on the hunt for a dynamic Product Owner, a linchpin in our product development process. This role requires a meticulous understanding of product design and development, a passion for delivering high-value software products, and expertise in event storming methodologies. Working in close partnership with our product team, developers, and stakeholders, the ideal candidate will have a rich history of facilitating product visions, from initial brainstorming sessions to the successful deployment of impactful software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Storming Leadership: Guide cross-functional teams through event storming sessions, translating complex business processes and needs into clear, actionable product requirements.

Product Vision & Strategy: Shape and advocate for the product vision, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage regularly with stakeholders, capturing feedback and ensuring that product developments remain in line with business objectives and market demands.

Team Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with developers, designers, and other product team members, fostering a cohesive environment that champions open communication and innovative thinking.

Requirement Documentation: Articulate detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications that serve as blueprints for development.

Backlog Management: Prioritize and refine the product backlog, ensuring that the team is working on tasks that align with the product strategy and deliver maximum value.

Delivery Oversight: Supervise the end-to-end delivery of software products, ensuring timely releases and high-quality outcomes.

Feedback Loop: Facilitate the collection of user feedback, ensuring continuous product improvements and alignment with user needs.

Requirements:

Demonstrated expertise in event storming methodologies, with a proven track record of translating these sessions into actionable product insights.

Strong background in designing, documenting, developing, and delivering high-value software products.

Exceptional communication skills, adept at bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Analytical mindset, capable of making sense of complex data and translating it into clear product requirements.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field. Certifications in product ownership or agile methodologies are a plus.

A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a product ownership or similar role in software development environments.

Nice to Have:

Experience in Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

Knowledge of modern software development practices and technologies.

Previous exposure to agile and Scrum methodologies.

A Scrum certification, such as.

Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)

Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO)

Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Product Owner/Management Certification.
