The project:

A 15,000-seat arena, convention centre and 2 hotel towers. A full-time construction manager- mechanical to be based in Cebu, Philippines.

You will work as part of the senior construction delivery team, taking direction from Construction Lead and Project senior leadership team, providing guidance to wider team.

You will build relationships to manage and influence senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.

You will build a strong working relationship with your clients and support the construction lead in turning the client’s vision into a deliverable onsite plan.

Promotes and drives the businesses priorities through Construction to Production, Digital & Data and responsible business.

Supports Managers in leading focused forecast Lookahead meetings, providing authority and guidance where required.

Develops and maintains strong relationships with Client and Design CMT, knowing QA process to final sign-off.

You will support Managers and other junior members of your project team and provide an environment to share knowledge and experience.

You will provide technical expertise and support to Delivery Teams, creating a culture of ownership, promoting roles and responsibilities.

Provides comprehensive technical expertise and understanding of Mace onsite Standards for each part of the Project, where to find them, and responsible for implementation.

Identifies and implements continuous improvement and plans, identifies key business improvements.

You’ll need to have:

Trade or Degree Background

Ideally based in Cebu

Detailed knowledge of Construction methodology, process and inherent safety involved.

Detailed knowledge of digital platforms and how to implement onsite.

Detailed knowledge of Mace Standards, where to find them, and how to implement them.

Proven experience in managing multiple large packages of work.

Planning and budget management experience.

Open, with strong empathetic communication skills.

Aware of industry technology and advances.

Sound technical expertise in HSE regulations.

You’ll also have:

Construction management expertise.

Developing commercial and financial acumen.

Experience leading parts of construction projects within large, diverse teams.

Experience of building relationships with key stakeholders.

Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.

Completed Apprenticeship (or equivalent).

Relevant NVQ or HNC (Or equivalent).

Experience in a site based Managerial role (or equivalent).

SMSTS and Managerial / Professional CSCS Card.

(Site Management Safety Training Scheme). (Construction Skills Certificate Scheme).

Open and approachable, able to recognise and adapt approach to get results.

Mentors and develops individuals, sharing knowledge and experience.
