Job Title: PMO Manager

Time Period: November 2023 – June 2025

Location: Hybrid, with requirement to be onsite twice a week in Columbus, OH or Merrillville, IN

Pay Rate: $115 per hour

Scope of Services: As a PMO Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Project Management Office (PMO) and ensuring the successful delivery of projects within the organization. Your role involves managing project managers, optimizing project processes, and contributing to the strategic alignment of project management practices with business objectives.

Role, Responsibilities, and Deliverables:

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of project managers and PMO analysts.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the PMO.

Project Oversight:

Provide hands-on oversight of key projects, ensuring they adhere to established processes.

Conduct regular project reviews to assess progress, risks, and resource requirements.

Process Optimization:

Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes.

Implement and enforce best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency.

Stakeholder Communication:

Collaborate with executive leadership to communicate project status, risks, and resource needs.

Facilitate effective communication within the PMO and with project stakeholders.

Resource Allocation:

Work with resource managers to ensure optimal allocation of resources across projects.

Contribute to strategic decisions regarding project prioritization.

Training and Development:

Identify training needs within the PMO team and coordinate relevant training sessions.

Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Proven experience (X years) in a managerial role within a Project Management Office.

Comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Experience in managing project portfolios and making data-driven decisions.

Relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous.

Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
