Head of Account

Our client is a diversified holding company with a strong presence in the Manufacturing, FMCG, and Agriculture sectors. They operate across these industries, demonstrating their commitment to excellence and innovation in diverse markets. Due to expansion, they are looking for a Head of account to join their Oil Plantation.

Location: Benin

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate internal controls.

Assist with the month-end close process, managing and analysing information reports and financial reporting.

Prepare account reconciliation and payroll journal entries.

Work with department to prepare detailed expense budgets, analyse budget/actual variances and review with department managers and senior management.

Prepare financial reports and analysis related to the company’s operations.

Support financial and regulatory audits.

Interpreting statistical and accounting information.

Managing balance sheets.

Overseeing accounting processes and financial risk management processes.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

Minimum of 5 years managerial experience as an accountant.

Inherent leadership skills and the ability to inspire confidence in client base.

Team player who will exceed assigned responsibilities.

Maintain excellent on-going working relationships with other internal and external personnel.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.

Proficient with Microsoft Office, with advance Excel skills.
