Hiring Account Manager with 10+Years of Experience

Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days

Location: Namakkal

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join construction company. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance specific to the construction industry. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the management team.

Key Responsibilities:

GST Management:

Handle monthly and annual GST return filing.

Verify GST TDS filings by departments.

Coordinate follow-up with non-filers and ensure timely filing.

Coordinate with departments to track outstanding bills.

Forecast GST liabilities and communicate to management.

Ensure maximum billing is compliant with GST regulations.

Calculate Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM).

Report on creditors overdue by more than 180 days to management.

Accounting Functions:

Implement E-Invoicing procedures.

Manage firm receipts and ensure accurate accounting.

Maintain site-wise M book records and reconcile receipts.

Cross-verify accounting entries, including purchase bill entries, and oversee entries made by junior accounts staff.

Manage subcontract billing in adherence to contract terms.

Ensure readiness to account for any new transactions.

Finalization of Accounts:

Confirm debtors, creditors, and loans.

Prepare Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements.

Verify loan statements and ensure accuracy.

Ensure TDS filings for all departments and prepare documents for quarterly TDS return filing.

Timely payment of TDS and advance tax.

Follow up on TDS corrections if necessary.

Cross-check maintenance of individual insurance policies, investments, loans, and bank statements.

Bank Coordination:

Prepare net worth, CMA, cash flow, and fund flow statements.

Submit monthly Drawing Power statements.

Manage documentation for BG & OD renewal/enhancement.

Prepare projections and provision statements as required.

Update project details, including ongoing and upcoming projects.

Submit FFR1 & FFR 2 reports.

Legal Compliance:

Stay updated with amendments in GST, Income Tax Act, and relevant laws.

Understand and implement new legal amendments promptly.

MCA Compliance:

File necessary forms annually with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

Handle specific forms in case of any amendments.

Credit Rating Management:

Monitor and manage credit rating processes.

Documentation and Communication:

Draft letters, agreements, and other legal documents as required.

Tender Submission:

Prepare accounting-related documents for tender submissions.

Strategic Planning:

Anticipate future transactions and events and plan accordingly.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Extensive experience in finance and accounting roles within the construction industry.

In-depth understanding of GST, accounting principles, and financial regulations.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite.

Ability to adapt to changing regulations and environments.
