This is an onsite position reporting into the DMPK group.

Responsibilities:

Support the on-site dose formulation, documentation, project coordination, data review and analysis for pharmacokinetic (PK) studies.

The formulation scientist for PK studies will work in a team-based environment to lead the preparation of dosing formulations, coordination, reporting, and timely completion of PK studies.

This role is also responsible for protocol building and finalization, and data analysis. This includes timely and accurate communication with customers on protocols, adverse events reporting, and study timelines. The individual will perform these activities with minimal supervision and liaise with the scientific and project management teams, in-life group, and bioanalytical scientists, primarily at our Boston and at our Exton site, as needed.

Perform formulation preparation for various routes of administration to support pre-clinical in vivo or in vitro projects.

Write study protocols and reports for PK studies.

Interact with the bioanalytical, in vivo teams and customers on scientific study designs, protocols, adverse events, shipping details, and reports.

Act as a liaison with the project management, in-life group, and bioanalytical teams to ensure that studies are completed according to timelines.

Have knowledge of physical chemical characterization of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) or their formulations using appropriate instrumentation: e.g., HPLC, UV/vis spectrophotometry, dynamic light scattering (DLS), dissolution, osmometry, rheometry.

Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience:

BS or MS degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related discipline

3+ years of experience, preference given to candidates with previous laboratory and/or CRO experience.

Must have a thorough understanding of PK data and functional knowledge of routine preclinical PK-supporting formulations.

Ability to multi-task and work effectively with multiple groups within the company.

Ability to perform duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Highly motivated individual with the capability and interest to learn about the business.

Strong work ethic and enjoy working in a fast paced, team environment.

Attention to detail, good oral and written communication and strong computer skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)

Experience with noncompartmental analysis (Phoenix WinNonlin) is preferred.
