Position Overview:

As a Cook / Pizza Topper at New York Pizza Pub, you will be a key player in our kitchen operations. Your role will involve preparing a variety of menu items, with a special focus on crafting delicious pizzas that meet our high standards. We are seeking a motivated and adaptable team member who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume pizza restaurant.

Responsibilities:

Cooking: Prepare and cook a wide range of menu items, including pizzas, pasta dishes, appetizers, and more, according to established recipes and quality standards.

Pizza Topping: Skillfully create and top pizzas with precision, ensuring the perfect balance of ingredients, and maintain consistency in presentation.

Food Safety: Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safety of our customers and compliance with health regulations.

Efficiency: Work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen, managing multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining the quality of food.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and utensils, to uphold hygiene standards.

Quality Control: Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process and make adjustments as needed to deliver exceptional dishes consistently.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment, especially in pizza preparation, is preferred but not mandatory. We are willing to train the right candidate.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality food.

Basic knowledge of food safety practices.

Team player with excellent communication skills.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy objects.
