Job Description
Our ideal candidate will help with all aspects of care, including treatments and consultations as part of a physician/advanced practice provider team. The Physician will work in outpatient setting and will practice independently. The Physician will be included in the Newborn/Pediatric Call rotation on the inpatient unit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provides clinical care for pediatric patients;
Completes comprehensive patient assessments;
Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness;
Orders and interprets medical diagnostics;
Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy, and medical equipment;
Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care;
Refers for specialty care when determined;
Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff;
A patient-first approach, working towards increasing access for community;
Works with administration for program development;
Demonstrates awareness, understanding and respect of cultural diversity and patients of all ages and socioeconomic groups; and,
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited medical school and completed residency training program
Board certification in Pediatrics
Licensed or ability to obtain licensure through the Wisconsin Board of Medical Practice
Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Wisconsin
Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
