Summary

Billing Specialist Lead - Bilingual Japanese & English

The Billing Lead is responsible for managing the end-to-end billing and invoicing processes and procedures associated with specific customer and client business lines. This diverse role also includes weekly and monthly finance reporting, contract management, and other tasks as needed.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Billing Management• Responsible for timely and accurate billing of all service and product revenues including reconciliation to operations and in accordance to customers’ contracts• Investigate billing discrepancies and assist in resolution• Work with Accounts Receivable and Collections to ensure timely billing and collections

Process Management• Ensure adherence to established billing policies and work with Manager/Director to improve and adjust processes where needed• Interface with Accounting and Client Services to provide accurate and timely information

Supervisory• Train billing associate(s), prioritize job duties, and provide feedback• Review associate’s work for accuracy and quality

Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct Reports- Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources

Indirect Reports- This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports

Travel and/or Driving Requirements

- Travel and Driving are not essential duties or functions of this job

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the jobEducation Level: (Required): High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience: Finance or Accounting (preferred)

- 3-5 years of experience in billing management or finance experience- Proven track record of billing accuracy and meeting deadlines

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment• Analytical and research Skills• Strong prioritization skills• Accuracy in preparing and proofing billing for accuracy• Ability to make oral presentations• Strong written communication and verbal communication skills • Basic computer skills including familiarity with Word, Excel, and Internet usage• Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Office / Sedentary RequirementsIncumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
