Responsibilities:

Using a holistic approach, designs, develops, evaluates, and modifies end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle. Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics. Ensures requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods. Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements. Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development. Designs interfaces and brings system elements together, so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements. Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts. Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower-level detailed requirements. Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation. Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures. Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.

Qualifications:

Peraton is looking for experienced Storage Engineers to join our technology-based program supporting a key Government customer working with a team engaged in provided Engineering and technical support in a mission critical Linux-based environment to users world-wide. The candidates must be able to analyze requirements, understand the architecture, and troubleshoot other data processing problems for applications. We are actively seeking experienced Storage Engineers with a minimum of 16 years' experience and a Bachelor's or Master's Degree with the following skillsets:

Experience leading activities that include architecting, designing, developing, testing and debugging of operating systems that run NetApp/ Nutanix storage applications.

Proven support skills with NetApp ONTAP and have experience supporting NetApp storage solutions

Ability to perform general trouble shooting, root cause analysis, hardware replacement, system configuration, and software and firmware upgrades for NetApp/ Nutanix storage solutions.

Installation (connecting and starting up) and configuration of the new storage environment at the client’s data center.

Ability to design and implementation of file storage systems

Ability to design and implementation of disaster recovery strategies for the storage infrastructure.

Ability to design and implementation of file storage migration

Experienced in networking, storage, and platform performance / sizing.

Develop and Maintain appropriate controls and documentation

Understand Windows OS, WMware and SQL databases storage needs.

Utilize industry and OEM best practices for the installation and configurations of storage systems

Possess technical acumen to understand data center migration from a storage perspective regarding planning, setup, and migration and documentation requirements for large enterprise organizations.

Analyze storage maintenance and problem resolutions activities on mission systems running a variety of operating systems including Linux and Windows.

PKI Certificate management – requesting, installing, configuring at the application layer

LDAP or Active Directory (architecture, design, disaster recovery, and troubleshooting)

Knowledge of Security Development Operations (SecDevOps) on iterative development projects

Knowledge of Agile development principles

Knowledge of modern software languages (e.g. Java, C, C++, C#, Python, Perl, etc…) or the ability to automate through Shell script

Core Hours: 9:30-4PM

Target Salary Range:

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
