Trucking Claims Manager

Job Description

We Guide, You Grow LLC is recruiting a skilled and detail-oriented Trucking Claims Manager to join our Risk department. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling property and casualty claims in the transportation industry, possess strong analytical skills, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Claims Investigation: Investigate and evaluate commercial property and casualty claims to determine coverage, liability, and extent of damages.

• Documentation: Gather and analyze relevant documentation, such as policy information, incident reports, witness statements, and damage assessments.

• Communication: Communicate with drivers, claimants, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather information, provide updates, and resolve claim issues.

• Coverage Analysis: Review insurance policies to determine coverage limits, exclusions, and applicable deductibles for each claim.

• Settlement Negotiation: Negotiate settlements with claimants or their representatives based on policy terms, legal requirements, and fair compensation principles.

• Claims Processing: Process claims payments, issue denial letters when necessary, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

• Claim File Management: Maintain accurate and detailed electronic claim files, including documentation of investigation findings, correspondence, and payment records.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance reviews of claims handling processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards.

• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in claims management to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by responding urgently to inquiries, addressing concerns, and maintaining positive relationships with drivers, vendors, and coworkers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in insurance, business, or a related field (preferred).

• 2+ years of claim handling experience (commercial claims a plus)

• Proven experience in claims handling or adjusting, preferably in property and casualty insurance.

• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage types, and claims handling procedures.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex claim situations and make sound decisions urgently.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse parties.

• Negotiation skills and the ability to resolve conflicts and reach mutually beneficial agreements.

• Proficiency in using claims management software and Microsoft Office applications.

• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

• Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the insurance industry.

• Understand transportation coverages, contractual risk transfer and additional insured forms

• Knowledge of multiple state statutes, including good faith claim handling practices, regulations, and guidelines

• Highly motivated and growth oriented.

Salary:

$70,000 to $75,000
