Title: Patient Access Specialist II

Location: San Diego, CA 92123 (100% onsite)

Pay: $20-22/hr

Shift: Thursday - Monday, 3pm-11:30pm

Attire: Professional attire

Role Type: Contract (13 months to start, potential opportunity for extension)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Patient Access Specialist for a healthcare facility in San Diego, CA 92123 .?Patient Access Specialist will be responsible for greeting patients, Register, schedule, and obtain authorizations for inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services.

Job Description:

Register, schedule, and obtain authorizations for inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services.

Demonstrate strong customer service skills to build rapport with diverse customers.

Utilize basic personal computer functionality and perform data entry tasks to maintain productivity standards.

Possess general knowledge of medical terminology or six months of demonstrated work experience in a healthcare setting.

Familiarity with insurance verification, authorization, and eligibility requirements for health insurance carriers.

Epic knowledge and internet capability required.

Requirements:

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Experience or general knowledge of managed care health plans, scheduling, registration, billing, and/or claims payment.

Minimum of two years of work experience in a healthcare setting and/or one year of work experience in a specific department function or call center environment.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
