Electrical Engineer III

JOB DUTIES

The Electrical Engineer III will be responsible for the design, analysis and development of electronics used in fuel measurement and management systems for the military and commercial aircraft, both on contract-driven design projects and internal Innovation, Research & Development (IR&D) efforts.

The position requires the ability to follow a rigorous development process from initial concept to product delivery. The successful candidate must perform extensive analyses to verify the product meets requirements for high reliability electronics, and be responsible for performing technical assignments to support the design and test of new aircraft sensor technology. Working within a project team, the engineer will be responsible for assisting in various phases of development projects, requiring the application of a broad range of electrical engineering principles. This individual will also act as Engineering Lead on development teams and Business Development proposals as required.

Duties may include: unit/board level design; design schematic; parts research/selection; board layout; design simulations; unit/board level test; engineering analysis; systems integration support; and, design/test documentation (specifications, interconnect drawings, schematics, parts list, test plan/procedures, etc.). Familiarity with aviation communication protocols, FAA and Military standards, and DO-178 B/C software certification is a big plus.

The Electrical Engineer III may also participate on cross-functional proposal teams and a variety of other activities, such as test equipment design, manufacturing support, and development of repair procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, and 7+ years of work experience in aerospace product development. Preferred candidates will have knowledge of ISO9000 & AS9100, will be proficient with MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint, Altium, LabView, and Solid Works, and have experience with FAA DO-160 and MIL-STD-810 testing. Must be a US person.
