Position Summary

Coordinates recruitment, selection, and assists in hiring process of nonexempt and exempt positions of internal and external applicants for Chinook Winds Casino Resort.

Essential Functions

Coordinates recruitment, selection, and assists in hiring process of nonexempt and exempt positions of internal and external applicants for Chinook Winds Casino Resort.

Establishes and maintains relationships with Executive Management and the supervisory team to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs.

Coordinates the recruitment and selection process by collecting PRs, posting job openings, advertising employment opportunities, collecting applications, scheduling interviews, conducting skills testing, completing background screens, and extending job offers.

Conducts pre-screens on all applicants to obtain information to determine eligibility for hire and/or rehire according to policy and procedure.

Communicates with applicants and prospective new hires on all aspects of the hiring process and employment opportunities.

Prepares, reviews, and audits all personnel related paperwork and documentation as it relates to recruitment.

Works closely with CTSI programs to help recruit tribal members for employment.

Oversees the on-boarding process for all applicants, new hires and re-hires. Assists in processing applicants and new hires when necessary.

Provides employment verifications to outside companies and the Siletz Tribe.

Develops and attends Job Fairs for Chinook Winds Casino Resort.

Responsible for the communication with the employment agencies, advertising agencies and website administrators.

Provides information regarding the application process and employment with Chinook Winds Casino Resort to Managers, Supervisors, current employees and the public.

Works closely with the Siletz Tribal Gaming Commission in regards to orientations, new hires and re-hires.

Develop, implement, and maintain a system to track Siletz Tribal applicants and outcomes.

Completes monthly Tribal Tracking Reports and weekly Applicant/Personnel Requisition Tracking Reports.

Coordinate the pre-employment process of new hires, rehires, and transfers, including drug/alcohol screens, background check investigations, STGC (Siletz Tribal Gaming Commission) scheduling, etc.

Screens, and recruits job applicants to fill entry level, professional, and technical job openings.

Prepares, reviews, and audits all personnel related paperwork and documentation as it relates to recruitment and on-boarding. Maintains confidentiality of all Human Resources matters.

Performs other work related duties as assigned. Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Associates Degree preferred

Experience

Two years’ experience in Human Resources with knowledge of recruitment

Two years’ experience working in an Administrative/Office setting

Computer Skills

Microsoft Office intermediate level with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Certificates & Licenses

Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License

Work Environment

Work will take place in a small office environment with occasional exposure to a busy resort and gaming environment with multiple distractions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Occasionally the work environment will be in locations exposed to smoke and the associated affects.

Working Conditions

Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180 day introductory period.
