New Job Opportunity - Controller

New job opportunity with a client based out of Washington D.C. Looking to hire a Controller with at least five years of related working experience (Financial Operations). Construction industry background is preferred.

We are trying to fill this role within the next 2 weeks.

Logistics of the Role:

Full Time - Direct Hire

Hybrid - 2 to 3 days a week remote

Day to Day Activities:

Financial strategy, planning and oversight.

Financial and managerial accounting and reporting (AR, AP, Billing).

Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, licenses, permits, insurance, including tax filings and financial audits specific to the construction industry.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making and business growth.

Oversee subcontractor / vendor payments.

Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of five years professional work experience in the construction industry.

High School Diploma - College Degree Preferred.

Prior experience managing staff.

Strong admin skills.

It is preferred that applicants have experience with project management software (Sage, Procore).
