New Job Opportunity - Controller

New job opportunity with a client based out of Rockville, MD. Looking to hire a Controller with around 10-15 years of related working experience ((Financial Operations) in a government setting (GovCon experience). We are trying to fill this role within the next 2 weeks.

Logistics of the Role:

Full Time - Direct Hire

Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite

Day to Day Activities:

Financial strategy, planning and oversight

Financial and managerial accounting and reporting - responsible for the accounting department (AR,AP, Payroll, bank reconciliations)

Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, licenses, permits, insurance, including tax filings and financial audits specific to the construction industry.

Responsible for producing periodic financial reports

Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making and business growth.

Oversee subcontractor / vendor payments

Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of 10 years work experience in a government contracting setting

Active CPA is required

Must have experience working directly with stakeholders

College Degree is required

GovCon experience is required

Prior experience managing staff

Strong admin skills
