Low Voltage Technician / Installer

Job Description

We are a specialty electronics design & integration company focusing on residential and commercial projects. In particular we specialize in the design, installation & maintenance of distributed audio & video systems, media rooms, lighting, shading & environmental controls as well as data, phone, & video services infrastructure. Our control systems include Control4, Savant, and Lutron.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyze blue prints, schematics, and drawings of low voltage A/V systems to plan and execute successful installation

Manage a crew and install A/V systems as assigned, to include wiring, terminations, install equipment, and testing.

Updates and maintains technical documentation.

Use ticket/support (Q360) system to track, document, and resolve technical problems.

Maintains assigned vehicle and keeps equipment in excellent condition.

Establishes effective working relationships with those contacted during the course of work, and communicates clearly, concisely, and effectively, both orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical individuals.

Manages multiple priorities and deadlines, and works effectively with project manager with minimum supervision

Requirements:

4+ years as an Install Technician

Understands signal flow, systems control, and distributed audio and video systems.

Superior skills in cable installation and cable management

Attention to detail and excellent workmanship

Responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable, well-organized and able to work with minimal supervision.

Exceptional customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
