Position Name: Bartender Location: Holiday Inn Resort, Jekyll Island, GA Compensation: $9.00/hr + tips Notice of training period: For the initial 3 weeks of employment, while restaurant is fully operational, all employees will be compensated at $15.00/hour as they will be performing non-tipped work.

Upon the opening of the restaurant, employees will be compensated for their tipped role, with all non-tipped work being compensated at the state’s minimum wage.

About us: The Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island is opening a new restaurant that is set to redefine dining on the island.

Our coastal open-air restaurant will showcase regional seafood and ingredients, providing a unique dining experience for our guests.

Job Description: Job Description: * The first 3 weeks will focus on training, obtaining ServeSafe Food Handler and TIPs certifications, and getting oriented into our company culture/operating guidelines.

* Upon restaurant opening, responsibilities include but are not limited to * Pre-setting the bar * Prepare and serve beverages in a timely manner & in accordance to the recipe specifications * Receive and process payment through POS terminal * Maintaining side work stations * Clearing and storing equipment in its proper place at the end of each shift * Must be able to handle guests requests courteously and work a flexible schedule with professionalism and respect * You are the key member making a mark on our guest experience by making them feel welcomed, comfortable and attended to Requirements: * Must have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time without sitting or leaning.

* High school diploma required/GED * Bartending certification a plus * At least one year of prior experience as a bartender * Must be at least 18 years of age or older, in accordance with alcohol serving laws in the state of GA * Ability to craft cocktails in accordance to recipe * Long hours sometimes required * Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects * Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms * Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels * Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range * Ability to walk long distances * Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations * Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
