SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Facilitates the maintenance and continual improvement of the QMS Systems and supports the IATF/ISO System Requirements. In addition, the candidate will support Supplier Quality Activities.

JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Maintains internal and external compliance with audit programs (Layered Audits, internal audits, customer audits/assessments, supplier audits, environmental audits, and third-party audits) to ensure compliance.

Works in partnership with Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality in designing and enhancing the Quality Management System to facilitate overall regulatory compliance and conformity to IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements.

Develops and maintains internal audit plans and schedules based on the activities’ importance and areas designated as higher-risk areas.

Oversees the training and development of the internal auditing team, including the Internal Auditor Competency Matrix.

Oversees both Product and Process Audits to ensure compliance (Customer Specific Requirements).

Sets up meetings with the Executive Leadership Team to review any/all regulatory requirements that require Senior Level Management Approval.

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES):

Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study is required, or five (5) years of directly related job experience combined with the formal training needed for the position. Related formal training will be considered in lieu of the degree requirements.

IATF 16949 Lead Auditor Training for Automotive Quality Management Systems

Minimum of 5 years of automotive experience leading IATF/ISO Systems

Lead Auditor Certification – IATF/ISO

Demonstrated oral and written communication skills as well as strong organizational skills.

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Supplier Quality experience is a plus (supplier development, supplier assessment and risk analysis).

Working knowledge of OEM and Tier 1 Supplier Portals in obtaining monthly scorecard information and ensuring our monthly, semi-annual, and annual requirements are met for IATF/ISO.
