Job Description

Multiple Direct Care positions are available in a newly opened four-bed licensed facility designed to provide 24-hour intensive behavioral support services to youth with developmental disabilities and severe challenging behavior.

The job requires providing direct care in a person-centered and compassionate manner, ensuring that client’s unique needs, preferences, and goals are at the forefront of every interaction. This approach fosters a strong sense of dignity and empowerment for those receiving care, promoting not only their physical well-being but also their emotional and psychological comfort. Additional duties include, but are not limited to assisting with medication adherence, dressing, grooming, bathing, and other personal hygiene needs; supervising client schedules and activities; providing support and behavioral training services; and documenting all relevant information.

Schedule: Full and part-time shifts include day (7:30 AM to 3:30 PM), evening (3:30 PM to 11:30 PM), night (11:30 PM to 7:30 AM), and rotating shifts throughout weekdays & weekends.

Minimal Requirements:

Applicants must have a minimum of six months prior experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities. They should become a Registered Behavior Technician within twelve (12) months of initial employment, have a criminal background clearance, and complete pre-employment requirements including drug and TB test.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift to 20 pounds and push up to 50 pounds (on wheels). Applicants should be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person, speak clearly to communicate information to patients and staff, read memos, computer screens, personnel forms, clinical and administrative documents, and perform tasks such as reaching above shoulder level, bending, squatting, sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, reaching, kneeling, twisting/turning.
