About the Position

Rockwood's Change Management Leader supports our federal clients to develop and implement strategies to deliver mission impactful solutions. This role requires someone who loves client engagement, can design change management approaches and complex deliverables, understands how to connect dots across large systems, enjoys developing staff, has experience growing business, and can work across one or several change projects in a fast-paced environment.

Navigate complex environments: Understand complex environments and advise client on coalition-building, strategic planning, and multiple workstreams as they navigate change.

Develop organizational strategies: Create client strategies, frequently focused on managing change for enterprise-level initiatives and applying a structured methodologies.

Engage key stakeholders: Develop and expand trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders to gather a deep understanding of client needs and to help them navigate the political and ever-changing environment.

Lead strategy and change management projects: Lead large project(s) as the change management expert to assess the current state, help the client define the future state, and drive change in a client organization or across an enterprise. Ensure exceptional quality delivery and results.

Expand relationships and projects: Expand the relationship base and identify opportunities with existing client organizations to expand the work. Identify new leads and craft the ideas into new project work.

Develop Staff: Support staff to create professional development goals and activities. Provide feedback and growth opportunities to develop the staff at multiple levels.

Required Qualifications & Skills

DoD (DoS and DoJ considered) security clearance (minimum of Secret, Top Secret preferred)

10+ years of strategy and change management consulting and business growth experience, ideally in the DoD and/or national security environment

Bachelor's in a related field (such as business, psychology, industrial psychology, organizational development, or communications)

Demonstrated experience to build, lead, and develop high-performing consulting teams

Business acumen, including an understanding of the government contracting industry, market trends, and competitive landscape

Knowledge of various change management methodologies and frameworks (such as Prosci, ADKAR, and Kotter's eight-step model)

Ability to commute regularly to sites within the Washington metropolitan area and participate in a hybrid work environment, to include on-site and virtual locations

Desired Qualifications

Demonstrated success developing and growing business while delivering strategy and change management services

Knowledge and understanding of the national security environment, including the DoD and Intelligence Community (IC)

Relevant change management certifications such as Prosci Certified Change Practitioner or Certified Change Management Professional

PMP certification

Master's degree
