Systems Analyst

Our client is looking for Systems Analyst located in the Toledo area.

The role of the Systems Analyst is to contribute to the planning, design, development, and implementation of efficient information systems and operational processes that support core organizational functions. This individual will leverage their strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to address and resolve systems issues, thereby optimizing the benefits derived from Business Systems investments. Additionally, they will support the Business Systems Manager in researching new information technology and its potential application to our business systems.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Business Systems Manager to analyze business initiatives and devise supporting methods and processes.

Assist in the development, maintenance, and testing of disaster recovery plans related to information systems components.

Maintain proficiency in manufacturing systems software, including batch processing, packaging, inventory, purchasing, and quality control functions, providing user support as needed.

Develop and maintain system-level and external reporting tools.

Create system/program logic diagrams, application requirement specifications, and other associated documentation materials.

Evaluate and propose modifications for existing information systems software and hardware components to accommodate changes in system definitions.

Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of recommended and approved information system changes.

Provide user support and other help desk functions as necessary.

Stay updated on advancements in information technology by attending seminars, vendor-sponsored training programs, and diligently studying relevant literature.

Explore new technologies independently or in collaboration with the Business Systems Manager.

Minimum Requirements: Candidates should have one or more years of proven experience in roles such as Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar, with a preference for a four-year IT-related degree.

Proficiency in SQL Server, Infor M3, Labvantage LIMS, 3E software, and other relevant technologies is essential.

Strong troubleshooting skills are required for user support and other help desk functions.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure is preferred.

Familiarity with metadata structures and adherence to best practices for data governance is expected.

Proficiency in regression analysis, machine learning, and AI techniques is desirable.

Knowledge of business intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar is advantageous.
