ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
Job Responsibilities:
· Inspect, test, and perform electrical equipment inspections, field testing and commissioning to demonstrate material, equipment and systems have met all technical requirements in accordance with NETA, applicable IEEE standards and Manufacturer’s recommendations.
· Inspect, verify and test each completed field installation. All feeder and equipment tests shall be completed and approved. A new UL Listing (label) shall be affixed on each piece of apparatus or equipment.
· Replacement panel boards and new panel board exteriors shall be UL Listed, and field UL labelled, panel boards may not be UL labelled/approval as ‘Refurbished’ or ‘reconditioned’ equipment. Panel board Replacements must comply with NEC Article 408.8(A)-2020.
· The electrical testing shall include but not limited to: Low voltage panel boards, Low voltage cables (600V and below, including wiring), Feeders, Grounding Systems and System Interconnections, Transformers, Disconnect Switches, Tower Interior and Exterior Lighting, Tower Floodlighting.
· Instrument transformer tests (at factory and again in place at the site as required or instructed by EOR).
· Prepare and maintain records detailing tests, repairs, and maintenance.
Experience/Qualifications:
· Relevant experience – must have at least 2 years of related electrical testing experience.
· Industry experience – must have 5 or more years performing related tasks in heavy industry, bridges, large commercial buildings, and construction.
· Physical and Sensory Requirements: the tasks, responsibilities, and expectations of this position require certain physical and sensory abilities, which must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
Licenses and Certifications:
· Driver’s license – must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
· Professional certifications – must have and be able to maintain a NETA ETT Level IV certification.
· OSHA 30 hour
