Welder
Full Time / Part Time: Full Time

DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES:
• Welding steel and stainless in all positions: MIG, TIG and Stick
• Selection and setup of appropriate welding equipment and methods based on project requirements.
• Welding project prep, including workspace and material planning, moving heavy material with forklifts, grinding, fixturing, measuring, etc.
• Testing and inspecting welded surfaces for flaws
• Cutting steel using plasma, oxy acetylene, propane, and other cutting methods
• Maintaining equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
EDUCATION:
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
• 3+ years welding experience with steel
• Competency in all positions: MIG, TIG, and SMAW (stick) – Steel and Stainless Steel
• Knowledge of construction site best practices and safety procedures
• Experience with manual and power tools
• Additional consideration will be given to candidates with: Professional certifications, Successful completion of an apprenticeship or General Mechanic Aptitude
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK CONDISTIONS:
The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particulars, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration, and/or foreign objects resulting from welding activities. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, twist and bend, as well as talk and hear. The position requires the employee to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
WORK SCHEDULE:
• Work schedule to vary based on business needs including call outs and weekends.
