Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior PHP Developer located in New Delhi. The Senior PHP Developer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with back-end web development, object-oriented programming (OOP), front-end development, software development, and programming.

Responsibilities

Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers

Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules

Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges

Integration of data storage solutionsÂ

Qualifications

Back-end web development and software development skills

Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3

Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Ability to work independently and in a team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

3-5 years of experience in PHP development, with at least 3 projects of a government utility, urban sector experience shall be preferable.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering.

Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworksÂ

Understanding of MVC design patterns

Understanding accessibility and security complianceÂ

Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions

Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system

Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds

Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
