Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role as a Machining Development Engineer located in Coimbatore. As a Machining Development Engineer at Impel Ferrocast, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving machining processes, monitoring production runs for quality issues, and implementing cost reductions. Daily tasks include reviewing machining procedures, collaborating with production and design engineers, and driving continuous improvement projects. You will work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure the success of projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

A minimum of 5 years of experience in machining operations, process development and improvement, and CNC programming

Experience in manufacturing engineering, production control, and quality systems

Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software, manufacturing processes, and data analysis tools

Proven experience with various metals, alloys, and machining operations

Excellent communication and project management skills

Ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment and adjust to changing priorities, deadlines, and business directions

Experience in the iron foundry industry is a plus
