· Purpose of the role:

Provide regulatory/ technical support to New Product Development (NPD) process at various phases and ensure regulatory compliant documentation and processes of Wellness products (Nutraceuticals, Food for Special Dietary Use/ Health supplements etc.) for India and other markets (exports). To ensure timely approvals for import, local licensing/ registration and on-going compliance of the Wellness portfolio in India.

· What will you do

· In partnership with the Head of Regulatory Affairs, South Asia & Southeast Asia develop proactive regulatory strategies, risk assessments and technical representations, to protect and expand product access within markets.

· Partnering closely with counterparts in Regulatory Affairs, Product Development, Marketing, Legal teams to ensure Regulatory Policy and Influence strategies/activities are aligned with business plans.

· Support in active engagement with Trade Associations, Governments, and key policy makers to influence regulatory initiatives.

· Monitoring regulatory activity for current and future business opportunities/threats; providing timely and accurate impact assessment of current and developing regulations impacting our ability to sell and market products.

· Compile & Review regulatory dossiers for submission to the India regulatory agencies,

e.g. FDA, FSSAI, etc., based on information collected from various departments within the company for Import registration & Product Approval.

· Ensure effective and adequate document management for the regulatory compliance including product dossiers, Licenses/Registrations, regulators & customers query/response, and regulatory communications.

· Regularly train and educate Oriflame's partner suppliers on the regulatory requirements and internal policies for effective documentation.

· Provide regulatory advice and guidance on issues surrounding the import, manufacturing and sale of Oriflame's extensive product portfolio.

· To coordinate with the manufacturers in India and Indonesia (owned and sub- contractors) for correct documentation support to Global R&D and other Oriflame markets.

Your background and your qualifications:

· Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Food Technology/Pharmacy/Life Sciences

· Minimum 5 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs function in Dietary supplements/ Nutraceuticals or Food Industry.

· Knowledge of national level regulations, and international regulations like FSSAI, BIS, Codex, EFSA, USFDA etc.

Technical Skills:

· Developing and driving regulatory influencing strategies in support of portfolio growth and innovation initiatives

· Establishing strong partnerships internally and externally

· Developing industry networks and relationships

· Actively engaging with trade organizations and government departments to influence regulatory and standard initiatives.

· Knowledge of Current and proposed product-related regulations involving product registration, ingredients, claims, product classification, packaging and product labelling.

· Knowledge of Stability studies guidelines and GMP requirements

· Expert in regulatory analysis and understanding regulations.

· Proficient in risk analysis and task management.

· Interacting with/leading cross-functional teams to achieve defined objectives through consulting and positive interaction with culturally diverse team members, external partners and governmental officials.

Soft skills:

• An eye for a detail

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Able to work with minimal supervision

• Good knowledge of Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint & Excel)

• Fluency in English with experience in effectively communicating and presenting regulatory data (both verbally and written) to influence all levels and global audience
