Trench Cutter Operator

The tasks a Trench Digging Machine Operator is expected to perform include:

Operating power-driven machine mounted on wheels or chain and equipped with devices for digging trenches for sewer, water, drainage, oil and gas pipelines

Controlling movement of caterpillar treads to move machine into position

Engaging excavating mechanism to move hand levers and start or stop machine until the specified depth is reached

Lubricating and fuelling machine and undertaking minor repair work

It is a field job

Need not handle a team

Local travelling is not a part of this job

Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities

Work from home option is not available

Working hours

Mining companies usually work for 6 days a week and 8/10 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company
