Oracle Application Developer

Experience: 5+yrs

Location: Pune (Hybrid)

The Oracle Applications Developer is responsible for technical development, maintenance and support of the Oracle E-Business Suite with a heavy focus on system integration architecture and development.

This role will require excellent development and analytical skills. Responsible for working individually and in team environments to develop and deliver business functionality based on Oracle SOA, Oracle EBS R12 and other peripheral system software components. Support SOA processes, and translate requirements to technical design, through development, unit testing and assisting with the deployment of developed components.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Will serve as the primary technical resource for FusMiddleware-based solutions.

Define, design, and implement composites using SOAP, REST and other protocols.

Implement logging, auditing, and user notification features within all custom components

Implement a custom Exception Handling mechanism and use SOA Fault policies.

Monitor existing SOA processes, adept at drilling down to the point of failure and investigating specific issues independently.

Support Oracle E-Business Suite R12 (GL, AP, AR, OM, Purchasing, Inventory, expense, WMS and Manufacturing modules) by solving break/fix issues, and providing design, development, and support knowledge of RICEW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows).

Interface with other IT areas and end users in most phases of software development.

Research and evaluation of relevant technologies and presentation of alternative solutions.

Demonstrate understanding of business requirements and functional specifications.

Prepare technical design documents and develop them as per the design to meet project requirements.

Investigate and resolve complex problems through research and technical analysis.

Coordinate with the technical team, Oracle support, DBA, IT Infrastructure, Technical consultant and/or other Functional consultants for implementing bug fixes/ SR resolution.

Work on multiple projects concurrently and multiple high-priority user support issues simultaneously.

Effectively communicate project status information, design discussions and issues with the project team comprised of resources from IT, Consultants and End Users.

Coordinate with other application leads for issue fixing and proactively prevent issue occurrence.

Interact with other teams within the company, who are working with other technologies, to properly serve the company's System Integration and web services needs.

Education / Experience

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems or related

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Minimum 5+ years of Oracle SOA development and support experience.

Minimum 5+ years of development experience with Pl/SQL and RICEW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows).

Knowledge of SOA principles and practices, and the ability to apply meaningfully to system integrations.

Well-versed with coding standards and testing procedures.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must be able to work independently with limited supervision and with multiple IT groups in coming up with desired solutions.

Interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively organize and communicate across functional and technical lines are critical.

Highly Desired:

Functional understanding of some or all of the following Oracle E-Business Suite modules (Sales Order, Financials, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Manufacturing).

Oracle XSU (XML SQL Utility) for REST services.
