Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Project Engineer with Automation Engineer/PLC Programmer skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, deploying, testing, troubleshooting, and finalizing projects with complete documented handover for various clients.

Education

Undergraduate (UG) degree: Diploma or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a similar field.

Experience

2 to 7 years of experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

3.5 to 7.5 LPA (Cost to Company (CTC) to be discussed based on interview performance and previous work experience).

Preferred Candidate Profile

Rockwell control system programming experience (PlantPAx, FT Batch, FT Transaction Manager, Historian, and Reporting).

Detailed knowledge of PLC automation software and coding languages.

Experience with Rockwell DCS is a plus.

Experience working with SCADA & recipe creation and managing it with PLC code.

Strong programming knowledge of SCADA & VB/Powershell scripting.

Understanding of indirect addressing principles.

Industrial networking knowledge is a plus.

Role & Responsibilities

Programming experience in Rockwell DCS control systems (PlantPAx), FT Batch, FT Transaction Manager, Historian, and Reporting.

Knowledge of instrumentation P&IDs.

Knowledge of motion control systems.

Knowledge of Rockwell legacy controllers.

Proficiency in PLC & HMI program development and modification for Allen-Bradley PLCs.

Programming knowledge of different communication protocols such as Ethernet-IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Modbus TCP/IP, Serial/RS-485, etc.

Ability to develop and install machine programs using automation software and custom coding languages.

Ability to select electrical/electronic materials for different automation projects and prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) for various applications.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Ability to troubleshoot control, power, and drive panels.

Ability to respond to troubleshooting calls from pan-India sites regarding automation and control-related issues.

Ability to train fellow site engineers as needed.

Experience working with various HMI/SCADA platforms (Indusoft, Intouch, Vijeo Citect, WinCC, etc.).

Ability to document and maintain accurate records of PLC programs and modifications.

Ability to lead teams for project execution and manage installation and commissioning teams (if needed).

Ability to travel when required.

Ability to meet with clients to discuss their electrical or mechanical automation requirements.

Commitment to staying abreast of industry trends, advancements, and best practices in PLC programming.
