Plant Operator - Oil & Grease Plant Job Overview:
Responsibilities
Operate Machinery: Operate and control various machinery and equipment involved in the production process, including reactors, separators, pumps, filters, and distillation units.
Monitor Processes: Monitor production processes to ensure optimal efficiency and quality control. This includes observing gauges, meters, and other indicators to detect abnormalities and take corrective action as necessary.
Perform Quality Checks: Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure its proper functioning. This may involve cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and process issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. Diagnose problems, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. This includes following safety guidelines for handling chemicals, operating machinery, and responding to emergencies.
Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies regarding waste management, emissions control, and pollution prevention.
