Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Merchandiser with a specialisation in textile apparel to join our team. This role is essential for driving sales growth by effectively merchandising our products, understanding customer needs, and developing strategic marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales within the textile industry, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of meeting sales targets.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, including retailers and wholesalers, to understand and meet their needs.

Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure product offerings are aligned with market trends and customer preferences.

Conduct market research to identify sales opportunities and monitor competitive activities.

Plan and execute promotional activities, such as trade shows, marketing campaigns, and sales presentations.

Analyze sales data to identify trends, performance, and opportunities for growth.

Provide feedback to the production team on customer preferences, market trends, and product feedback.

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field. Relevant experience in sales within the textile/apparel industry may substitute for education.

Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a similar role.

Strong understanding of the textile and apparel market, including fabric types, trends, and customer preferences.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.

High level of creativity and innovation in developing sales and marketing strategies.

Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend trade shows.
