Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with a specialized focus on e-commerce. As a Senior Accountant - E-Commerce Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting firm client and their e-commerce clients by providing comprehensive accounting services tailored to their unique business growth targets. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records while utilizing cutting-edge technology and data analytics tools.

Responsibilities:

Maintain the accuracy and integrity of e-commerce clients' general ledger entries, ensuring compliance with GAAP and industry regulations.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into clients' financial performance.

Manage and reconcile e-commerce transactions, including revenue recognition, inventory management, and cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations.

Collaborate with clients to optimize their e-commerce accounting processes and implement best practices for financial management.

Utilize advanced data analytics tools to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for operational improvement within clients' e-commerce platforms.

Provide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to clients based on data-driven insights and industry expertise, leveraging our business insights and recommendation tools

Set up the firm's practice management tools to run a streamlined end to end service experience optimizing for staff effectiveness, transparency, and efficiency.

Develop and document service delivery processes that fit neatly into our technology stack to leverage automation and data analytics.

Develop and optimize processes to interview, train and retain new accounting staff members to ensure client satisfaction.

Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in the e-commerce industry to ensure compliance and maintain a competitive edge.

Foster strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted advisor on all e-commerce accounting matters.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;

Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting (minimum 3 years with US clients), with a focus on e-commerce or technology-driven industries.

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero as well as advanced Excel skills.

Strong understanding of GAAP principles and e-commerce accounting practices, including revenue recognition and inventory management.

Experience with data analytics tools and techniques for financial analysis and reporting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.

Process and systems thinker with a passion for building efficient and effective service flows

Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
