As a Textile Designer at PADMA, an apparel brand from Brandmovers, you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual identity of our brand. You will work closely with our design and production teams to research, develop, and create unique prints that align with and define the brands aethetic. Your creativity, attention to detail, and artistic vision will be an integral part of our legacy.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and Inspiration:

Stay updated on current fashion and textile trends.

Gather inspiration from various sources to develop unique print concepts.

Print Development:

Create original textile designs that align with the brand's aesthetic.

Collaborate with the design team to ensure prints complement clothing designs.

Consider color palettes, scale, and repeat patterns when developing prints.

Placement Prints:

Strong experience in working with placements prints is key. Ability to strategically place different elements on garments for maximum impact.

Work with patternmakers to ensure accurate placement on clothing items.

Sampling and Prototyping:

Oversee the production of sample prints and prototypes.

Make adjustments as necessary to achieve the desired look and quality.

Quality Control:

Ensure that the final prints meet quality standards and are consistent with the original design.

Collaborate with Artists

Work with artists to convert their artworks into digital prints.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Textile Design or a related field.

Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience as a Textile Designer in the fashion industry.

Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of textile designs.

Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD and Procreate

Prior experience working on placement prints.

Knowledge of printing techniques and processes.

Understanding of color theory, fabric types, and garment construction.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creativity and innovation.
