The job.

As a part of this function, the R&D Development team designs, develops, and maintains software products and solutions, including the underlying systems and architecture. Responsible for delivering world-class products and solutions using established standards and processes in collaboration with other R&D functions.

We are looking for a Test Engineer to join the AVEVA 3D Design & Production Software Product test team at Hyderabad. The test team will be responsible for ensuring the high quality of AVEVA Software Product deliveries to customers.

Key responsibilities

In this role you will own the KEY responsibility of Test Engineer:

You will be contributing in testing the Marine3D products from Marine domain perspective.

You will be part of the product scrum team.

You will be owning specific module/area from product and able to execute defined test cases and customer use cases to ensure the quality of the product is maintained in each release.

You will be utilizing the strength of automation testing and expedite the testing and able to automate.

You will be adding value and enhancing the footprint of automation test coverage of your module.

You will be maintaining and keeping the test suite well stabilized/robust for batch executions for any test requirements.

Desired experience

A degree in Naval Architecture/Ocean/Marine/Mechanical Engineering from an Accredit University or college.

Professional Experience of 5+ years in Hull Structural Detailing/Detail Engineering or Designing of Ships/Offshore structure.

Strong professional experience using Aveva Marine/E3D (Everything3D)/Tribon M3 or competitive Ship Design application.

Strong professional domain experience in Shipbuilding/ Marine with excellent Hull Structural knowledge.

Should have experience in extracting and handling Hull production information.

Having Shipyard experience.

Good understanding of Outfitting, P&ID diagrams, pipe routing, pipe spooling and creation of pipe fabrication information.

Good to have knowledge of PML programming.

Hands on experience and knowledge of software programming would be preferred.

Carry great interest in software programming.

Good communication skills both verbal and written in a concise and accurate manner in English as a medium of communication.

The team you'll join

The role of the test team is to ensure the product quality by designing, executing functional & non-functional automated and manual test across the range of AVEVA 3D Design & Production Software Products. Each member of the team owns full responsibility for their module and test scope to ensure the product quality. The team proactively identify improvements and enhancements to existing test suites in line with technological advancements. The test team is part of the larger product development team.
