Working as a core member of our India team, you will conduct surveys and inspections for our portfolio of clients in the offshore and marine sectors. This could involve working on subsea and offshore installation projects, or undertaking surveys and inspections on vessels.

What you will be doing.

Attend or conduct marine warranty surveys, towage approvals, loadouts and single voyages.

Attend casualty and salvage investigations and determine nature, extent and cause of damage.

Undertake marine investigations or claims work. Estimate costs of repairs and subsequently compile reports for Clients.

Assist in marketing of ABL Maritime and its services.

This position will be based in Mumbai. You must be willing to spend time offshore and be able to undertake assignments at short notice.

What we are looking for.

Ideally, you will be a Chief Engineer or Second Engineer looking to move into an onshore environment. More specifically, we are looking for:

Chief Engineer (STCW class 1) with significant education and experience.

At least 5 years relevant experience as Chief Engineer or Maritime Consultant.

Background of working on DP (e.g, PSV or DSV) vessels beneficial.

OVID / CMID certification beneficial.

Experience conducting or supervising surveys and inspections desirable.
