Head of Treasury
Description:
Job Objective-
To strategically manage the organization's financial assets and liabilities to maximize returns, minimize costs, and mitigate financial risks. This role aims to achieve increased returns on the investment portfolio, optimize the capital structure to reduce debt costs, and implement successful hedging strategies.
Key Responsibility Areas-
Strategy-
Develop and execute investment strategies to achieve a measurable increase in the overall return on the investment portfolio.
Evaluate market trends and identify opportunities to optimize investment allocations for improved financial performance.
Analyze the organization's capital structure to identify opportunities for debt optimization and cost reduction.
Implement strategies to reduce the overall cost of debt through refinancing and negotiating favorable terms.
Operations-
Develop and implement effective hedging strategies to manage currency, interest rate, and commodity risks.
Monitor and assess the success rate of implemented hedging strategies, adjusting them as needed to align with market conditions.
Qualifications-
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA certification is advantageous.
Proven experience in treasury management, financial analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.
In-depth knowledge of financial markets, investment instruments, and capital structure optimization.
Familiarity with derivative instruments and hedging techniques.
Skills and Competencies-
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills for effective treasury decision-making.
Excellent financial modeling skills to assess investment opportunities and capital structure optimization
Knowledge of treasury management systems and proficiency in financial software.
