Video and Storytelling Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative individual to fill the role of Video and Storytelling Lead. This role requires someone with a deep understanding of visual storytelling, scriptwriting, and community engagement within the development sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shaping the narrative direction of our project videos, conducting impactful interviews, and effectively communicating with stakeholders and communities.

Responsibilities:

Develop the narrative direction and story arc for project videos, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.

Conduct interviews with key stakeholders, beneficiaries, and community members to gather compelling stories and insights for project videos.

Write scripts for project videos, ensuring clarity, coherence, and resonance with target audiences.

Lead video production teams during shoots, providing guidance and direction to ensure the quality and effectiveness of footage.

Engage with clients to understand their vision and requirements, and effectively communicate project progress and updates.

Develop content for development projects, NGO initiatives, and sustainability projects, including blogs, articles, and social media posts.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate storytelling elements into project communications and outreach strategies.

Requirements:

Proven experience in video storytelling, scriptwriting, and content development, preferably within the development sector.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and communities.

Strong leadership abilities, with experience in managing teams and leading projects from conception to completion.

Proficiency in video editing software and production tools, with a keen eye for visual storytelling.

Knowledge of development issues, social impact initiatives, and sustainability practices.

Willingness to travel and work on location during video shoots and project engagements.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing project requirements.

Experience in writing blogs, articles, and other forms of written content is a plus.
