Purpose of role:
The role is responsible to ensure that strict quality compliance is maintained with the ultimate goal of Zero-defect components meeting the delivery targets.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the design and manufacturing teams to understand raw material
* requirements, in-process quality requirements, product test plans and requirements
* In-Process inspection of composites and metallic components including tooling.
* Generate and maintain Quality documents including QAPs, Dimensional inspection reports,
* log sheets, and in-process checklists, NDT reports, test reports etc.
* Raw materials, fasteners and seal qualification and acceptance.
* Raise, Maintain and follow up for the closure of Non-conformance reports.
* Follow-up and lessons learned are to be documented towards continuous improvement for zero defects.
Skills required
* Worked as QA/QC engineer in the composite manufacturing process and assembly process of the composite's structures.
* At least 3 years of experience with a minimum 1 years of Aerospace or Defence experience
* a quality engineering role
* Familiarity with NDT techniques such as UT, RT, CR and experience in interpreting Radiography films
* Knowledge on raw material testing standards such as ASTM/ISO for metallics and composites
* Familiarity with quality acceptance standards for aerospace grade fasteners & seals desirable
* Experience with Filament winding, Tape winding Pre- Preg handling, Sandwich composites manufacturing desirable
* Hands-on experience in the interpretation of flaws in Composites and metallics desirable
Qualification
* B. Tech in Mechanical engineering with min 3 years of experience in defence and aerospace assemblies.
* Minimum 65% of aggregate in engineering preferable.
